Clareta Walker Fund-Human Resources & Family Studies Scholarship

The net income from the Fund shall be used to provide scholarships to students enrolled in the School of Human Resources and Family Studies in the College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a part of and according to the criteria, terms, and conditions established under the Jonathan Baldwin Turner Agricultural Merit Scholarship Program. In awarding Jonathan Baldwin Turner Scholarships, or partial scholarships, made available by the Fund the College of Agriculture shall acknowledge the Clareta Walker Fund as the source. The scholarships provided by the Fund shall be awarded in accordance with the general rules and regulations adopted from time to time by the University of Illinois relative to such scholarships. In the event the Foundation determines at some future time that the principal of the Fund is inadequate to support an endowment, then the Foundation may designate the Fund as a “fund functioning like an endowment” with both the income and principal from the Fund used for the purposes specified herein. The Foundation may from time to time, as deemed necessary or desirable to better achieve the purposes described herein, accumulate income in a given year; said income to be added to principal or expended in a subsequent year or years.
