Henry E Grein Jr Scholarship in Agriculture-JBT Program

Marjorie Pryor Grein’s belief in the importance of educational excellence at the University of Illinois is the reason for plans that at her death the principal in the Charitable Gift Annuity shall become an endowment at the University of Illinois Foundation. The net income shall be used to provide scholarships and to support fellowships as specified below: One-third (1/3) of the annual net income shall be used to provide scholarship(s) to full-time undergraduate student(s) enrolled in the College of Agriculture, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The scholarship(s) shall be awarded as part of the Jonathan Baldwin Turner Agricultural Scholarship Program as long as the said program exists in the College. The name of the scholarship(s) shall be “The Henry E. Grein, Jr. Scholarship”; the recipients of the scholarship(s) shall be known as “Henry E. Grein, Jr. Scholar(s).” Decisions as to the students who shall receive the scholarships, the number of scholarships to be awarded annually, and the amount of each scholarship shall be determined by the Dean, College of Agriculture, or designee(s).
