The Chicago Farmers Scholarship

The Fund Assets shall be used to provide scholarships to undergraduate students who have earned between 60 and 90 hours (junior status) and are enrolled in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The scholarship awards shall be based on financial need, taking into account other scholarships and financial awards granted to the student. Scholarships shall be awarded to a student whose career path is expected to be of service to production agriculture. The students’ academic record, leadership and campus activities should also be considered in granting this scholarship. The Dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences or designee, shall determine the recipients, amount and timing of the scholarships to be awarded, subject to the terms of this agreement and the approval of the appropriate University officials. Scholarship awards shall be known as “The Chicago Farmers Scholarships” and shall be appropriately recognized and publicized.
