James P. Lilly Memorial Scholarship

Net income from the Fund shall be used to provide a scholarship(s) for a full-time student(s) majoring in agricultural communications in the College of Agriculture, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The scholarship shall be called “The James P. Lilly Memorial Scholarship;” the student(s) shall be called “James P. Lilly Scholar.” The scholarship(s) shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit, leadership, professional potential and good citizenship. The Dean of the College of Agriculture, or designee(s), in consultation with the Head, Office of Agricultural Communications and Education, or designee(s) shall annually determine the number, the amount and timing of the scholarship(s), subject to the approval of the appropriate University officials. Net income from the Fund not expended in any year shall either be added to the principal of the Fund or be accumulated and used to fund the scholarship in a higher level in subsequent years.
