Richard L. Gibbs Scholarship

The net income from the Fund shall be used to provide a scholarship(s) for a full-time student(s) majoring in Agricultural Communications in the College of Agriculture, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The scholarship shall be called “The Richard L. Gibbs Scholarship;” the student(s) shall be called “Richard L. Gibbs Scholar.” The scholarship(s) shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit, leadership and good citizenship. Preference shall be given to students of junior or senior academic standing. The Dean of the College of Agriculture, or designee(s), in consultation with the Head, Office of Agricultural Communications and Extensions Education, or designee(s), shall annually determine the number, the amount and the timing of the scholarships. Net income from the Fund not expended in any year shall either be added to the principal of the Fund or be accumulated and used to fund the scholarship at a higher level in subsequent years.
