John Peterson Family Farm Scholarship

This trust shall terminate on the last day of February following the twentieth anniversary of the date of my death. At that time, the Trustee shall convey the real estate in the trust, the working cash fund and any other assets which may then be in the trust to the UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATION, a not-for-profit Corporation (Tax ID #37-6006007), located in the State of Illinois, to establish a permanent endowment in accordance with established policies and procedures of that foundation. The endowment income shall be used each year to support scholarships for students enrolled in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In all such uses, the funding source shall be clearly identified and appropriately recognized as the “John Peterson (1836-1908) Family Farm Endowment Fund”. It is my intention that the land devised to the University of Illinois Foundation be held by the foundation in perpetuity.
