Wilmer Hellenthal Scholarship

The net income from the Fund shall be used to provide merit based scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering, the College of Agriculture, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. An annual scholarship will be awarded to a student in each of these colleges. Scholarship recipients enrolled in the College of Agriculture shall be majoring in one of the agricultural sciences and scholarship recipients enrolled in Liberal Arts and Sciences shall be majoring in a pre-medical curriculum. The scholarship recipients in each college shall be chosen by the Deans of the respective colleges, or his or her designee, and shall be known as Wilmer Hellenthal Scholars. In no event shall a scholarship recipient be a child of a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. The scholarships awarded hereunder may be renewed for up to three years, so long as the recipient maintains the equivalent of a “B” average and otherwise continues to make satisfactory progress toward his or her degree.
