Kenneth R. and Ruth E. Imig Agriculture Scholarship
Subject to the approval of the appropriate University officials, the net income shall be used to provide a scholarship to undergraduate students who are Illinois residents, including incoming Freshmen, enrolled in the College of Agriculture of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with preference being given in the first instance to students from Iroquois County, in the second instance to students from McClean County, and in the third instance to students from Edgar County. The recipients of the aid awarded hereunder shall be chosen by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, or his or her designee. In situations where other considerations are equal, it is the Donor’s preference that the scholarship be awarded to the student with the greatest financial need. The scholarships available hereunder may be renewable for up to four years, provided that the scholarship recipient continues to make satisfactory progress toward his or her degree, and provided also that there are not each year other possible recipients who better meet the Donor’s preferences regarding county of residence and financial need. If, in a given year, a suitable candidate cannot be located for the aid available hereunder, the net income for that year will be retained by the Fund and made available for additional scholarships in subsequent years when qualified candidates are found.
