Andrew A. Wicklein Memorial Scholarship

The net income from the Fund shall be used to provide scholarship awards to be known as the Andrew A. Wicklein Memorial Scholarships to students who are residents of Will County, Illinois and who are enrolled in a curriculum of the College of Agriculture of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Subject to the approval of appropriate University of Illinois officials, the number of scholarships to be awarded and the amount of each scholarship award shall be determined by the Will County 4-H Foundation and the Dean of the College of Agriculture of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign after due consideration of the available net income. If during any year all of the net income from the Fund is not used for scholarship awards, the unexpended net income may be added to the principal of the Fund or may be accumulated and used for scholarship awards in subsequent years. Selection of the scholarship recipients shall be made in accordance with written guidelines and procedures to be established by the Will County 4-H Foundation subject to the approval of the Dean of the College of Agriculture of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and appropriate University of Illinois officials. Selection of the scholarship recipients shall be made without discrimination on basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age and handicapping condition. The scholarship awards shall be distributed to each scholarship recipient during the academic year following his or her selection provided that the student enrolls in the College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Dean of the College of Agriculture, or designee, shall request disbursement of the net income from the Fund and shall administer distribution of the scholarship awards.
