ACE & Ag Com :From Estate: The remainder thereof shall be used by the said Trustee from the net earnings of said memorial fund to provide one of more annual cash scholarships for students currently enrolled or expected to be enrolled in the University of Illinois with a major in Agriculture Business or Agriculture Communications (including students enrolled or to be enrolled in post-graduate studies or in-service training programs. It is my intent that such scholarships shall be awarded to individuals to be selected by a faculty committee appointed by the then Dean of the College of Agricultural Consumer and Environmental Science at the University of Illinois. said Committee shall secure whatever assistance it desires from non-university employees. It should avail itself of the aid and assistance and advice of The Central Illinois Bank in Champaign on the amount of money to be made available each year for such scholarships from such accumulated earnings of the Memorial Trust Fund. The committee shall establish criteria for the selection of the individual or individuals to receive such scholarships. Such criteria shall provide that individuals shall be of proven ability and moral character. Financial need may also be considered in selecting recipients for the scholarship. In the event the University of Illinois shall at any time in the future not have a major in either Agriculture Business or Agriculture Communications then such scholarship shall be offered to individuals whose major interest shall be in these areas.
