The net income shall be used for scholarships for full-time undergraduate students, who are U.S. citizens, enrolled at the College of Agriculture, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign campus. The scholarships shall be called Murphy Scholarships. Students who receive the scholarships shall be called Murphy Scholars. Decisions as to students who shall receive the scholarship(s) and the amount(s) of each scholarship shall be determined by the Dean, or designee(s), College of Agriculture, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign campus, with approval by appropriate University of Illinois officials. Murphy Scholarship(s) shall be award to incoming freshmen with first preference being given to student(s) graduated from Bement, Illinois High School; second preference to student(s) from Piatt County, Illinois. In the event there are no eligible student(s) from Bement High School or Piatt County, Murphy Scholarship(s) shall be awarded to other deserving incoming freshmen who are citizens of the State of Illinois.
