Net income from the Fund shall be used to provide academic merit scholarship(s) to full-time undergraduate student(s) pursuing a degree in the Home Economics curriculum in the School of Human Resources and family Studies, College of Agriculture, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The scholarship(s) shall be known as REBECCA WEST BEELER SCHOLARSHIP. The recipient(s) shall be known as REBECCA WEST BEELER SCHOLAR. Decision(s) as to the a) student(s) who shall receive the scholarship(s); b) number of scholarships to be awarded and c) the amount of each scholarship shall be determined by the Director, School of Human Resources and Family Studies, or designee(s), in counsel with the Dean, College of Agriculture, or designee(s), subject to the approval of the appropriate University officials. It is the donor’s wish that, to the extent possible, BEELER SCHOLARSHIPS be given to incoming freshman students. First preference of students who shall receive BEELER SCHOLARSHIPS shall be persons whose legal residence(s) is/are in Gallatin County (home of Rebecca West Beeler) or McLean County, Illinois, in that order of preference. Should no student(s) qualify for scholarship(s) as stated in 6 above, scholarship(s) shall be granted to full-time undergraduate student(s) pursuing a degree in the Home Economics curriculum in the School of Human Resources and Family Studies.
