P. Scott Shearer Scholarships

The net income from the Fund shall be used to provide scholarships to undergraduate students who are enrolled in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Priority should be given to attendees of Villa Grove High School or students from Villa Grove, Camargo, or Murdock, Illinois. If no students(s) meet the above criteria, then preference should go to student(s) from Douglas County, Illinois. If there are no student(s) from Douglas County, Illinois, then it may be determined by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, or designee, shall determine the recipients, amount, and timing of the scholarships to be awarded, subject to the approval of the appropriate University officials. Scholarship awards shall be known as the “P. Scott Shearer Scholarships” and shall be appropriately recognized and publicized.
