Lois G. Adams Scholarship

The net income from the Fund shall be used in support of programs in the College of Agriculture. All such funding shall be identified as support from the “Lois G. Adams Fund”. In determining the use of the net income from the Fund, preference will be given to providing scholarships to students enrolled in the College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In awarding the scholarships, preference will be given first to students from Hutton Township in Coles County, Illinois, second to students from Coles County, Illinois, and third to students from the State of Illinois. Net income from the Fund in excess of the amount required for the aforementioned scholarships shall be used in support of programs in the College of Agriculture. Example of such support shall include, but not be limited to: teaching enhancement awards, support for student leadership activities, field trip support, or other such programs as shall enhance the educational excellence of the College of Agriculture. Subject to the approval of the appropriate University officials, the Dean of the College of Agriculture, or designee, shall determine the use of the net income, as well as the amount and timing of such expenditures.
