Kenneth A. and Vesta Stark Agriculture Scholarship

The net income from the Fund shall be used to support students who are pursuing agricultural fields of study in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to develop those skills and attributes that will increase the likelihood of personal success in their chosen careers. First priority shall be given to scholarships for students from the greater Pike County area who wish to enroll in an agriculturally related field of study. Second priority shall be given to scholarships for students enrolled in an agricultural related field of study, who do not have access to existing scholarship programs in the College because of extenuating circumstances in their life that have caused undue hardship in their overall performance. Third preference shall be given to programs that are designed to supplement classroom activities that will enhance student leadership skills which will be important in achieving post graduation success. Scholarship awards shall be known as the “Kenneth A. and Vesta Stark Agriculture Scholarships” and shall be appropriately recognized as such. The Dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, or designee, shall determine the recipients, amount, and timing of the scholarships to be awarded, subject to the approval of the appropriate University officials.
