Rexford J. Weller Scholarship

Subject to the approval of the appropriate University officials, the net income from the Fund shall be used to provide merit based scholarships to students from Montgomery County, Illinois enrolled in the College of Agriculture of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The recipients of the scholarships available hereunder shall be chosen by the Dean of the College of Agriculture or his or her designee. In determining the recipients of the scholarships available hereunder, preference will be given in the first instance to students from northern Montgomery County. For purposes of this agreement, northern Montgomery Country shall be defined as that part of the county north of County Road 1600 N. Preference shall be given in the second instance to students from any part of Montgomery County. In the event that no suitable candidates can be found in a given year, the net income shall be either returned to principal, or segregated and made available in future years for students meeting the above criteria.
