HILL HALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The purpose of the Fund shall be to support scholarship (s) for full-time undergraduate students (s) enrolled in the College of Agriculture, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. Scholarships (s) shall be awarded to Junior or Senior student (s) who a) are majoring in an agricultural curricula and b) have been born and reared in a family actively engaged in farming. The awards shall be known as HILL HALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS (S). Students who receive the scholarships (s) shall be known as H ILL HALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARS. The scholarship (s) shall be granted to student (s) based on academic merit (3.75 [5.0 = A] cumulative grade point average [GPA]) with a second criteria of financial need. Decisions as to a) students (s) who receive the scholarships (s) and b) the amount of each scholarship (s) shall be determined by the Dean, College of Agriculture, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign campus or designee (s), subject to the approval of the appropriate University of Illinois officials. Junior student (s) who receive scholarships (s) shall be eligible to receive scholarships (s) for their Senior year provided they meet the requirements state herein. It is the wish of the Donors that the scholarship (s) shall be a minimum of $500 each. The minimum may be increased no oftener than every five years in proportion to the increase (should it occur) in tuition at the University of Illinois. Should the annual net income, or part of the income, not be used in the year earned, the unused portion shall be added to the endowment. If by November 1, 1992, the Fund does not total $10,000, the corpus (principal) of the Fund shall be available for use as stated herein. Should the Fund become of size (as determined by the Dean, College of Agriculture, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign) so as to provide net earnings for more than two scholarships annually, the balance of the earnings may be used to either: a) support a visiting lectureship to enhance the undergraduate resident instruction excellence in the College of Agriculture or b) provide more that two scholarships annually.
