Compeer Financial Scholarship
The Fund shall be held as a current use fund, as defined by University and Foundation policy. All of the Fund’s assets will be available for spending. The Fund shall benefit the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (“Unit”). If for any reason the current functions of the Unit are transferred to another organizational unit of the University or the name of the Unit is changed, then the Fund will continue to benefit the Unit, as changed. The Fund shall support undergraduate scholarships within the Unit. Recipients shall be enrolled in one or more of the following departments: Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Agricultural and Consumer Economics, Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications, Animal Sciences, Crop Sciences, Natural Resources or Environmental Sciences. Recipients shall also be a resident in one of the following counties: 1) Illinois: Adams, Boone, Brown, Bureau, Carroll, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Fulton, Grundy, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, JoDaviess, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Knox, Lake, LaSalle, Lee, Livingston, McDonough, McHenry, McLean, Marshall, Mason, Mercer, Ogle, Peoria, Pike, Putnam, Rock Island, Schuyler, Stark, Stephenson, Tazewell, Warren, Whiteside, Woodford, Will, and Winnebago; 2) Wisconsin: Adams, Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Calumet, Columbia, Crawford, Eau Claire, Dane, Dodge, Douglas, Dunn Fond du Lac, Grant, Green, Green Lake, Iron, Iowa, Jackson, Jefferson, Juneau, Kenosha, La Crosse, Lafayette, Marquette, Milwaukee, Monroe, Ozaukee, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Racine, Richland, Rock, Rusk, Sauk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Sheboygan, Trempealeau, Vernon, Walworth, Washburn, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago; or, 3) Minnesota: Aitkin, Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Brown, Carlton, Carver, Cass, Chisago, Cook, Cottonwood, Crow Wing, Dakota, Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Houston, Isanti, Itasca, Jackson, Kanabec, Lake, Le Sueur, McLeod, Martin, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Mower, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Olmsted, Pine, Pipestone, Ramsey, Rice, Rock, St. Louis, Scott, Sherburne, Sibley, Stearns, Steele, Todd, Wabasha, Waseca, Washington, Watonwan, Winona, and Wright. Preference shall be given to students who operate a farm or whose parents operate a farm. In the event that the Foundation or University concludes that any criterion or stated preference is a violation of either law or institutional policy, the Foundation and University reserve the right to no longer apply or enforce the criterion or stated preference.
