Sandra Broadrick-Allen Award

The Fund shall be used to provide an undergraduate merit-based award to students in a home economics-related curricula, including food industry and business, human nutrition, hospitality management, dietetics, consumer and textile marketing, consumer economics and finance, and human development and family studies. Preference shall be given to qualified candidates who are female students enrolled in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign who have demonstrable academic merit, leadership abilities and potential for contributions to the field in which that person schooses to work. Such scholarship may be renewable if the student is in good academic standing. The Dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, or designee, shall determine the recipients, amount and timing subject to the restrictions contained herein and to the approval of the appropriate University officials. Awards shall be known as the “Sandra Broadrick-Allen Award” and the recipients shall be appropriately recognized and publicized.
